Summary

ACTION:

1. Recognize, receive, and appropriate a net decrease in revenue of $20,269 to reflect actual state and federal changes

 

2. Recognize, receive and appropriate a net increase in revenue for Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) of $91,077

 

3. Approve the creation of a full-time Health Program Coordinator/Supervisor position in the Triple P Program to be funded with the additional revenue

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

1. The North Carolina Division of Public Health (DPH) awards the Health Department funding to support federal and state programs. The Department received notification of modified funding. The net decrease of state and federal funding is $20,269.

 

2-3. DPH has awarded additional revenue to the Triple P Program of $91,077. This funding will be used to create a full-time Health Program Coordinator/Supervisor position and enhance the Triple P Implementation.

 

The increases and decreases affect several programs which are outlined with the fiscal impact on the attached spreadsheet.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no impact on County funding. The net increase is in state and federal revenue and associated expenses of $70,808 in the General Fund in FY19.
