BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This action will allow the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office to transfer two (2) high mileage vehicles which are scheduled to be decommissioned and five (5) radios that are approaching the end of service life. The vehicles are a 2018 Dodge Charger with approximately 107,000 miles (SHA5695) and a 2019 Dodge Charger with approximately 123,000 miles (SHA5778); the radios are Motorola APX6000 model. This equipment will be disbursed to the Brookford Police Department in North Carolina. Per North Carolina General Statute G.S. 160A-280, donations to other governmental units of any equipment deemed to be obsolete, surplus or unused are allowed.
