Accept donation of a portion of Tax Parcel 025-103-04 (+/- 2.206 acres) from Northlake Center Apartments Limited Partnership, for use to construct the future Dixon Branch Greenway.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The subject property owner, Northlake Center Apartments Limited Partnership, has proposed to donate a portion of Tax Parcel 025-103-04 (+/- 2.206 acres) for required zoning purposes. The land is adjacent to the existing County owned greenway property, and also located along  Dixon Branch Tributary, making this property highly desirable for Park and Recreation.

 

The donation is consistent with Park and Recreation’s Greenway Master Plan that calls for the addition of parkland, greenway and open space within the County. It is also consistent with the County’s Environmental Leadership Action Plan.
