BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

Systemic racism is a driving force that negatively impacts health and well-being in areas such as but not limited to housing, education, employment and criminal justice.  To achieve health equity, Mecklenburg County asserts that racism is a public health crisis affecting our entire county and should be treated with the urgency and funding of a public health crisis.
