BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week is nationally recognized as a time to bring together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of those on the healthcare frontline. EMS professionals face unimaginable circumstances every day. However, there has never been a better time, in the face of a global pandemic, to express our heartfelt thanks for the noble sacrifices made by EMS as they continue to provide compassionate care to all citizens of Mecklenburg County.
