BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
On December 14, 2019, the Zebulon B. Vance High School Cougars football team won their first NCHSAA 4AA State Championship in school history after defeating Leesville Road High School 24-4. The Zebulon B. Vance Cougars are the first Mecklenburg County team since 2015 to win the 4AA championship. The Vance Cougars will be recognized for their completion of a successful season with a state championship title and a promising future of many more to come. The staff and team will be in attendance.
