BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Medic and the Office of the Tax Collector entered into a partnership for the collection of delinquent emergency medical service claims. The anticipated long-term benefit of this partnership is that it will have a positive fiscal impact on Medic and the County by reducing delinquency. Chapter 44, Article 9B, and 105-368 of North Carolina law addresses pursuing collections.

This action supplements the existing policy of Medic pursuing delinquent collections.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is included in the FY 2020 Medic and Office of the Tax Collector budgets.
