Summary
ACTION:
Authorize the County Manager to negotiate fees and execute contracts with selected firms listed in this action item for landscape architecture and engineering services for the Mecklenburg County Parks as authorized in the FY 2019 - FY2023 Capital Improvement Plan, including Druid Hills Neighborhood Park, Ezell Farms Community Park, and Eastfield Regional Park, and in the event negotiations with any of the selected firms are unsuccessful, to approve negotiations with the alternate firms listed in this action item.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The County is selecting landscape architects for complete professional services including master planning, design and construction documents, and construction administration for parks projects authorized in the FY2019 - FY 2023 CIP including Druid Hills Neighborhood Park, Ezell Farms Community Park, and Eastfield Regional Park.
PROCUREMENT BACKGROUND:
A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was advertised on May 30, 2019 in the Charlotte Observer, Charlotte Post and the State of North Carolina Interactive Purchasing System website. The selection of the consulting firms followed NC General Statute 143-64.31, which prescribes a qualifications-based selection process.
