BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The Charlotte Hornets, in partnership with Lowe's, are proposing to renovate the outdoor basketball court at Greenville Park as part of the Hornets Legacy Project Powered by Lowe's. 

 

Greenville Park would be the fourth park to be refurbished as part of the Hornets Legacy Project Powered by Lowe's, which was introduced in 2016 and previously resulted in upgraded basketball courts at Latta Park, Tuckaseegee Park and Camp Greene Park.

 

The proposed court will be painted primarily teal with the Hornets Legacy Project Powered by Lowe's logo at center court and will receive new backboards and rims.  The project will also include the installation of new trash cans and benches around the court.

 

Renovations to the Greenville Park outdoor basketball court is estimated at a value of $100,000 from the Charlotte Hornets.
