BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The consulting architect, Gensler, selected to design renovations to the County floors of the CMGC, has completed conceptual plans of proposed changes to each floor. This project involves relocating the Economic Development Office from the second floor to the 4th floor of the CMGC, renovating the 2nd floor into a conference suite, relocating the Public Information Department from the Valerie Woodard Center to the 4th floor of the CMGC, and renovating the 11th floor. The proposed relocation of Internal Audit from the 4th floor to the Johnson Building allows the PI Department to relocate to the CMGC. The relocation of the central Finance group from the 11th floor creates space for staff growth of existing County divisions on the 11th floor and staff from the 4th floor. This project will also provide a needed update of finishes and furniture for all County floors.
