BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

In order to maximize the treatment of invasives at the three pilot properties, the treatment of the invasive species needs to be done at a time of year when the plants are growing the fastest, which is summer, June-September.  When cutting or treating invasives with herbicide, the ability to do this work in the summer months results in the greatest impact to the invasives, resulting in the best kill rate and helps prevent invasives from returning in the future.
