BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This grant will be utilized to provide funds for bulletproof vest replacements for law enforcement officers. The Sheriff's Office has $190,368 available in special revenue funds to cover the full cost of the bullet proof vests. If awarded, the Sheriff’s Office will be reimbursed 50% of the cost of vests up to the amount awarded. The deadline for the grant submission is June 7, 2019, and the application has already been submitted.
