Summary
ACTION:
Select one Board member to serve as the County's voting delegate and one member to serve as its alternate for the 2019 National Association of Counties (NACo) 84th Annual Conference to be held July 12-16 in Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada. In the event the Board's representatives do not pick up the County's ballot, the president of the NC Association of County Commissioners (or his/her designee) is authorized to pick up the County's ballot and cast the County's votes

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To participate in policy adoption decisions, the Board must officially select someone to serve as the County's voting delegate and alternate. If for some reason the Board's representatives are unable to attend or do not pick up the County's ballot, it is permissible for a county to allow officials from its state association to serve as the voting delegate. The credentials (Voting) Form is due to NACo by June 28. Last year's delegate was Commissioner Dunlap and the alternate was Chair Scarborough.
