BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
On April 30, 2019 a mass shooting occurred on the campus of UNC-Charlotte resulting in the lost of lives, injuries to others, and trauma, not only to the UNC-Charlotte family, but the entire community. This resolution is to honor the heroes and victims of that mass shooting and to commit to the development of a plan to address gun violence in all of Mecklenburg County.
