BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The County purchased the former Northpark Mall property at the intersection of Eastway and North Tryon Streets for the future Northeast Community Resource Center and a Library Support Services Center.

 

A section of the vacated strip mall has become a target for break-ins and other unsafe conditions.  This funding allows demolition of those portions of the Northpark Mall facilities.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The FY 2019-2023 CIP will be increased by in the amount of $550,000, with funding from unallocated PayGo funds remaining from prior CIP projects.
