BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
In conjunction with National and State recognition, the proclamation celebrates the exemplary service provided by social workers in Mecklenburg County. Social workers provide critical support to the most vulnerable people in our society including people of all ages who are physically or mentally disabled, homeless, living in poverty, struggling with substance abuse, and/or victims of family and domestic violence.
