BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The 2019 Federal Legislative Agenda was considered by the Intergovernmental Relations Committee on February 12, 2019. The agenda items were approved in Committee and is being submitted for full board consideration and approval. The Federal Legislative Agenda will also be shared with the Mecklenburg County Congressional Delegation during the National Association of County Officials March 2019 Winter Conference in Washington, DC.

If adopted and subsequently achieved, policy impacts would include the following: support for federal programs related to Health and Human Services, Education and Community Development, Infrastructure and Finance, as well as Public Safety and Criminal Justice.
