BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The owner, Elissa Mullis, of Tax Parcel 108-081-07 recently went through the rezoning process with the City of Charlotte so she can operate a special events center on her property. During that process, the City required that she donate property to the County for the future construction of Reedy Creek Greenway, which is on the County’s Greenway Master Plan. County staff worked with Ms. Mullis on a configuration that would work for the future greenway as well as minimize the impacts to her existing improvements. The permanent greenway easement (± 2.93 acres) will allow for the greenway trail to be constructed and provide options for crossing Hood Road.
