BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The 2019 Legislative Agenda was adopted by the full Board on November 7, 2018. Additional items for the Mecklenburg County 2019 Legislative Agenda were considered and recommended for full Board consideration at the January 29, 2019 meeting of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting. The items are being submitted for full board consideration and approval.

POLICY IMPACT:
If adopted and subsequently achieved, policy impacts would include the following: support for a state school bond, support to prevent privatization of the County ABC Board, advocacy for County use of surplus school property, advocacy for creation of a lake marine commission and revision to public-private park infrastructure development authority. The policy impact pertains only to the added legislative agenda items.
