Title:

Duke Energy Lighting Service Contract - 2145 Suttle Avenue

Summary

ACTION:

Approve contract with Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC for a total amount of $3,145.20 for a 10-year contract at $26.21/month for one exterior LED light fixture at 2145 Suttle Avenue

Staff Contact:                      Ed Tavares, CEM, Energy Manager, Asset and Facility Management Department

Presentation:                      No

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

A new exterior light fixture is needed to provide better visibility and safety for employees and visitors going between the parking lot and the front entrance of the LUESA building on Suttle Avenue.  The site already has parking lot lights under a previous service agreement with Duke Energy, and this light fixture will be connected to that circuit.   Under the contract Duke Energy maintains the light fixture. This Service contract with Duke Energy is more cost efficient than the County installing and maintaining its own light pole at this location.
