Approve the 2019 Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners Meeting Schedule

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Official approval is required. Once approved, the schedule will be published in the newspaper as required by NC General Statute and placed online. The schedule reflects 1) the continuation of Regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of the months of July and August, when only one Regular meeting is held; 2) Budget/Public Policy meetings on the second Tuesday of each month and an optional fourth Tuesday if needed, however, an optional fourth Tuesday is not scheduled for the months of May, November and December.
Exceptions:
When a holiday falls on Monday, an election day on Tuesday, or if there is a Tuesday scheduling conflict for other reasons, meetings are scheduled for Wednesday. Below is the list of meeting dates that fall on a Wednesday in 2019:
1) Wednesday, March 6 Regular Meeting (Reason for the change: March 2-6 is NACo Legislative Conference. Attending Commissioners will return in time for the meeting.)
2) Wednesday, August 7 Regular Meeting (Reason for the change: Tuesday, August 6 is National Night Out.)
3) Wednesday, September 4 Regular Meeting (Reason for the change: Monday, September 2 is Labor Day.)
4) Wednesday, November 6 Regular Meeting (Reason for the change: Tuesday, November 5 is the Municipal Election.)
