BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Clems Branch Greenway is a planned greenway in the Ballantyne area of south Charlotte on the County’s Master Plan. It is anticipated that Clems Branch Greenway, once complete, will connect Providence Road West to Ardrey Kell Road as well as connect to Lancaster County which will link several residential communities and commercial areas along the way. At build out, the trail will be approximately 2.25 miles long.
The subject property is being donated to the County as part of the land transaction related to a proposed single-family neighborhood development in south Charlotte. Acquisition of this property is consistent with the County’s Greenway Master Plan.
