Resolution Supporting Legislation to Study Homestead Act Thresholds and Needs Related to all Communities in NC

 

 

Summary

ACTION:

1) Receive the Board's Intergovernmental Relations Committee recommendation to adopt a resolution supporting and advocating for legislation directing a review and analysis of the NC Homestead Act; and 

 

2) Adopt resolution titled Resolution Supporting Legislation to Study Homestead Act Thresholds and Needs Related to all Communities in NC as recommended and

submit it to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners for its 2019 legislative agenda for consideration

The proposed resolution was approved by the Board’s Intergovernmental Relations Committee at its September 25, 2018 meeting.

 

The Intergovernmental Relations Committee members are Commissioner Fuller as Chair, and Commissioners Clarke, Leake, and Puckett.
