BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Mecklenburg County Criminal Justice Services was awarded a grant by the NC Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) in September 2013, with previous amounts totaling $754,605. NCDPS has increased the grant award for the County's program by $113,300, for a total of $867,905. The additional funds will be used for supportive services such as housing and employment support for ex-prisoners. The contract term shall be effective to spend the additional funds through June 30, 2019. There is no County match required for these funds.
