Summary

ACTION:

1.  Carry forward unspent funds from the American Public Health Association (APHA) for Village HeartBEAT being recognized as a Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge Award recipient that remain unspent at June 30, 2018 in the amount of $25,000

 

2.  Carry forward unspent County funds for PrEP that remain unspent at June 30, 2018 not to exceed $232,222

 

3.  Carry forward unspent County funds for Tobacco Cessation that remain unspent at June 30, 2018 estimated to be $29,676

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

1.  Funds awarded by APHA will be used to enhance Village HeartBEAT FY19 projects.

 

2-3. County carryforwarded funds will be used for FY19 projects for PrEP and Tobacco Cessation deliverables.

 

Funding was placed in restricted contingency as part of the FY2018 Adopted Budget and the Board took action on December 19, 2017 to release the funds to the Health Department.
