BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

This 3-year contract is for LED lights at 911 W. 4th Street Extension.  The existing lights are in need of repair and the current repair contract has expired.  The new contract will replace the existing lights with LED lights.  This parcel was recently named the James Dennis Rash Third Ward Neighborhood Park and had benches and a bike repair station installed for the residents in 3rd Ward.

 

PROCUREMENT BACKGROUND:

Duke Energy is the only light provider for this area.  The service contract with Duke Energy is more cost efficient than installing and maintaining private poles and lights.

Utility Budget = $1,644.84 for the 3-year contract
