BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Capital Reserve accounts were established to provide funding to maintain synthetic turf fields. Elon Park has 4 synthetic turf fields that have reached their useful life of 10 years. Fields will be replaced in two phases for funding purposes and to allow the other two fields to remain open for use by citizens. This will be the second phase of the field replacement plan and will complete the replacement of all 4 synthetic fields. Work on replacing the remaining two fields will begin the middle of June, 2018.
PROCUREMENT BACKGROUND:
Park and Recreation staff has contacted County Procurement and will work together on each project to meet all County and State purchasing requirements. Procurement has stated that the synthetic turf is offered through Shaw Sports Turf on NJPA buying contract #082114-SII and installed by local contractor.

Capital Reserve funding (Fund 9002) of $1,214,252 will be encumbered immediately to begin field work.
