BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The Board's Appointment Policy states all Committees must report at least annually to the Board of Commissioners on their activities. Reports can be submitted to the Clerk for distribution to the Board in writing or for formal presentation at a Regular Board Meeting. The Women's Advisory Board will present formally on April 3, 2018.

The Women's Advisory Board was renamed and reorganized in 2009 by action of the Board of County Commissioners who appoint all WAB members. The last WAB annual report was presented for 2013. Due to member turnover and leadership challenges, no annual reports were made for 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2017 with new leadership and new members, the WAB is rebuilding its capability and has completed the 2017 Annual Report to the Board of County Commissioners. The report documents progress achieved and accomplishments for 2017, as well as, the current challenges for 2018. Due to the appointments made by the Board of County Commissioners, all 15 appointment slots are currently filled and the Board is fully active.
