BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The USTA of North Carolina is offering a 10 and Under Equipment Grant for up to $1,200. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will match this grant to receive a total of approximately $2,400 worth of equipment. Partners for Parks will pay the match of $1,189.40 for equipment plus $150 for shipping, totaling $1,339.40 from its tennis account. The equipment will be used for youth lessons and clinics held at: Colonel Francis Beatty Park, Freedom Park, Jeff Adams Tennis Center, Latta Park, Park Road Park and Veterans Park.
This grant is open until funds are depleted.
