BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

At the October 17, 2017 meeting, the Board adopted a resolution declaring the County’s intent to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City for law enforcement services in the Charlotte, Davidson and Mint Hill ETJ jurisdictions of Mecklenburg County.  The County Manager has also been asked to negotiate and bring back to the Board for its consideration an agreement with the Town of Huntersville to provide law enforcement services to its modified ETJ area.
