BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Town of Davidson provides fire protection services to the Northstar Fire District located in their ETJ. In February, they will be purchasing a tanker to specifically serve the Northstar Fire District.
The Town of Davidson is requesting the distribution of $50,000 in Northstar Fire District fund balance to reduce the installment financing amount and therefore lower the debt service payments. They have issued an installment financing RFP and intend to complete the financing in late February, pending Davidson Town Board approval.
Initially, the tanker was expected to arrive in July 2018; however, production was much faster than anticipated which is the reason for this change request.
