BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Harris Teeter, Inc. has offered the Park and Recreation Department a $50,000 sponsorship to support the Department's 2017 Bark in the Park event. This event is held annually to raise funds for the maintenance and building of future dog parks in Mecklenburg County. Any portion of the $50,000 not used for the event will be appropriated to help improve existing dog parks and build future dog parks.
