BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Park and Recreation Department requests the approval of a twenty (20) year extension to the Myers Park Trinity Little League lease which expires on December 31, 2026. The terms of the existing lease require that Myers Park Trinity Little League provide all athletic field maintenance and construction of County approved capital improvements in return for priority scheduling of the fields and in lieu of usage fees.
On January 17, 2016, the Board approved a resolution of intent to approve a 20-year lease extension and the notice of intent to approve the extension was published in The Charlotte Observer on January 20, 2017.
