BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

Several parks and facilities have amenities that are in significant need of replacement or repairs. The preliminary investigation of the underlying landfill at the Renaissance Golf Course will be helpful in crafting a long term plan for course renovations. The work at Col. Francis Beatty, WR Davie and McAlpine Parks are in line with the deferred maintenance program to maintain the functionality and appearance of County assets for public enjoyment. The request for the synthetic turf soccer field is part of the required 10-year field maintenance program specific to these types of playing surfaces.

PROCUREMENT BACKGROUND:

Park and Recreation staff will work with County Procurement on these projects to ensure compliance on all phases of each project.
