BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Youth and Family Services (YFS) Division is responsible for delivering child welfare services in our community. Recent practice reviews have revealed strengths as well as opportunities for improvement. The Division is engaged in a comprehensive effort to strengthen practice, enhance workforce capacity, and improve service delivery outcomes for children and families.
While building upon identified strengths, the Division is implementing leadership development initiatives, operational improvements, and strategic partnerships as we advance our commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, and the delivery of high-quality services.
This presentation provides the Board of County Commissioners with an update on these efforts and their anticipated impact on organizational performance and service delivery.
