BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Board of County Commissioners recognizes Homelessness Awareness Month to raise awareness of the needs of homeless individuals and families in Mecklenburg County. This month's observance serves as an opportunity to raise awareness, spotlight issues and challenges relating to housing insecurity and homelessness as well as to encourage prevention and mobilize action.
