BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The overview will provide the history of legislative actions and Board decisions that have determined the structure of Mecklenburg County's Human Services Agency.  Since the early-1970s, Boards of County Commissioners in Mecklenburg County have taken actions to assume the duties of the Boards of Health, Social Services, Mental Health and Human Services Agency. The attached documentation provides the history of these actions.
