BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
To participate in policy adoption decisions, the Board must officially select someone to serve as the County's voting delegate. If for some reason the Board's representative is unable to attend or do not pick up the County's ballot, it is permissible for a county to allow officials from its state association to serve as the voting delegate. Voting delegates and proxies decide all business, motions and the election of officers during the annual business meeting.
The 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference will be held July 17-20, 2026 in Orleans Parish, New Orleans, Louisiana at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
