BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

Healthcare Strategists was contracted to perform a comprehensive study of Mecklenburg County’s EMS System inclusive of Agency performance, the use of first responders in the EMS system and any opportunities to improve the overall system standard of care provided in the county.  The EMS System Assessment continues and is nearly completed.  The purpose of this briefing is to provide the Board of County Commissioners with an update on the assessment and its preliminary recommendations.
