BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The House Select Committee on Property Tax Reduction and Reform was created to investigate “practical ways to reduce the burden on homeowners without undermining local services.” They held four meetings and will vote on proposed legislation on April 15th. Staff will ensure the Board is informed of the proposed legislation in advance of the vote.
