BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The subject property owner, Fifteen15 Cannon Owners Association Inc., has proposed to donate a portion of Tax Parcels 045-071-79 and 045-074-70 (+/- 6.09 acres), per the approved rezoning plan, for a future local park in the City of Charlotte. The land is situated between N. Graham Street and W. Sugar Creek Road with road frontage along Cannon Avenue.
The Donation by Fifteen15 Cannon Owners Association, Inc. will allow the County to develop a small local park in this area for surrounding residents including the new townhome community, The Towns at Cannon.
The donation is consistent with Meck Playbook that calls for the addition of parkland and open space within the County. It is also consistent with the County’s Environmental Leadership Action Plan.
