ACTION:
Appointments are needed on the Library Board of Trustees to fill two (2) terms, including one (1) unexpired term expiring June 30, 2027, and one (1) four-year term expiring June 30, 2030.
Applications are attached, as well as, a recommendation letter from the Ad-Hoc Interview Committee.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Appointments are needed on the above said board. Charles Thomas completed his term, and Ailen Arreaza resigned.
On June 16, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners nominated the following candidates for appointment consideration to the Library Board of Trustees: Linda Spearman-Scott and Devire Robinson. At the time of nominations, there was only one (1) slot available to replace Charles Thomas. Since then, Ailen Arreaza resigned, creating an additional slot.
Per Board policy, the Ad-Hoc Interview Committee interviewed both nominees on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. At the conclusion of the interviews, the Ad-Hoc Committee unanimously recommended the appointment of Linda Spearman-Scott for one (1) unexpired term expiring June 30, 2027, and recommended the appointment of Devire Robinson for one (1) four-year term expiring June 30, 2030.
The Ad-Hoc Interview Committee was comprised of the following Commissioners: Arthur Griffin (Chair), Laura Meier, Susan Rodriguez-McDowell, and Yvette Townsend-Ingram.
