BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States with more than 150,000 Americans diagnosed and over 50,000 deaths each year. Greater awareness of this cancer and the means to prevent it could save the lives of people in Mecklenburg County and tens of thousands of lives in the United States.
