BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The CPSUM fulfills the state's legal requirement to provide land use guidance for the area.  The zoning authority for the area in question falls within Mecklenburg's jurisdiction.  Because of the interlocal agreement between Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte, the County must apply the City of Charlotte's zoning requirement to the area in question.
