BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This loss occurred on March 11, 2026, at the County and Courts Office Building, located on 720 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC. A water leak from a water fountain supply line caused damage across multiple building floors. Mitigation efforts have been completed, and repair work is currently underway.
Risk Management previously requested approval of a settlement claim in the amount of $72,884.32 for the mitigation phase. An additional $136,377.48 is now being requested to cover repair cost. This amount is being requested to resolve the claim.
