BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement has been engaged in a multi-year initiative to enhance technology and implement process changes, as required by amendments to the NC Building Code and other local regulatory updates by the City and the towns. Among the most significant process changes resulted from the implementation of the City of Charlotte’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
This presentation is to provide the BOCC with an update of current state and proposed enhancements as requested by the building community.
