BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The Mecklenburg County Debt Policy was last updated in 2014. Since then, there have been new tax laws, economic shifts, and updates to debt policy best practices. Staff will address those changes at the Budget Public Policy meeting on September 25, in advance of the Board’s October 2 meeting, where the matter will be placed on the agenda for consideration.
