BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
As more fully explained in the attached Resolution, Greenway Solutions, LLC (the "Company") is considering the expansion, renovation and improvement of its existing solid waste disposal facility located at 15300 Holbrooks Road in Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina along with related site work and improvements for:
The proposed Project, which constitutes a "special purpose project" under the Act, by Section 147(f) of the Code, that includes the equipment and facilities for the disposal, treatment or recycling of solid or other waste located in Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and issuance of the Bond in an amount not to exceed $20,000,000 to provide financing therefore are hereby approved in principle.
The Mecklenburg County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has agreed to assist in the process of the financing of the Project, which constitutes a "special purpose project" under the North Carolina Industrial and Pollution Control Facilities Financing Act (the "Act") and has indicated that agreement by the execution of an Inducement Agreement dated January 14, 2026, between the Authority and the Company; of an amount not to exceed $20,000,000 of Revenue Bonds by the Mecklenburg County Industrial Facilities and Pollutions Control Financing Authority to provide financing to Greenway Waste...
