BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:

The Junk and Abandoned Vehicles Ordinance has not been revised since approved in January 1997. Since this time services and verbiage has changed. This proposed revision aligns the Ordinance with Code Enforcement current standards for junk and abandoned vehicles. This change also aligns with our City of Charlotte partnership, better defines the type of vehicles and process enhancements notification to customers to better navigate the information within the ordinance.
