ACTION:
1. Receive an update on the County’s retiree medical benefits plan
2. Approve the Manager’s recommendation to allow eligible retirees to pay the same premium co-share for dependent coverage as active employees for plan year 2024 to allow sufficient time to conduct a comprehensive review of the Board’s benefit policy and current practice.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
At the October 17, 2023, regular board meeting, the Board of County Commissioners received a presentation on staff’s due diligence and findings regarding retiree medical benefits. Since receiving the update, the Manager has been requested to provide additional information and develop a recommendation for the Board’s consideration. The Board will receive the Manager’s recommendation.
